SoarTech to debut Cruzin’ Parachute Simulator at I/ITSEC 2017
Soar Technology, Inc. (SoarTech) is excited to announce the debut of Cruzin’, a 180-degree Field of View (FOV) hang-gliding simulator that suspends players in a real parachute harness. Cruzin’ will be demoed at I/ITSEC 2017 at the SoarTech booth (#329).
Cruzin’ is an internally-funded variant of a parachute-descent trainer system currently under development and funded by the US Navy. Cruzin’ is an exciting, game-based, 180-degree field-of-view parachute simulator. In this simulator, players are suspended in air using a real parachute harness. Using pull cords and hand buttons for steering and propellant, players collect points by navigating checkpoints, collecting coins, and avoiding dangerous objects. Leaderboard stats are collected and displayed for performance analysis and comparisons.
Cruzin’ will debut at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC), the world’s largest modeling, simulation, and training conference, at the Orlando Convention Center from November 27 through December 1 this year. I/ITSEC 2017 attendees who are ready to make the jump can demo the Cruzin’ simulator at SoarTech’s booth (#329).
For Cruzin’ development, SoarTech chose UE4, Epic Games’ newest game engine technology for creating high-fidelity, real-time experiences for PC, console, mobile, VR and AR platforms. SoarTech is also Epic Games’ official partner for providing licensing, maintenance, support, training, and development services for UE4 to the U.S. Government and their contractors. More information on that partnership and the UE4 service and support subscriptions offered by SoarTech will be available at SoarTech’s 2017 I/ITSEC booth (#329).
SoarTech has almost two decades of experience as a highly innovative Government and military contractor providing research and development services for military and Government simulations, serious games, and artificial intelligence. SoarTech and Epic kicked off their partnership at I/ITSEC 2015.
