Dr. Roger Smith joins Soar Technology, Inc. as a Senior Scientist

Orlando, FL – SoarTech is thrilled to welcome, Dr. Roger Smith who will be joining as Senior Scientist in SoarTech’s Orlando office.  Dr. Smith has held technology leadership roles as the Chief Technology Officer for AdventHealth, Chief Scientist and Chief Technology Officer for the US Army PEO Simulation, Training & Instrumentation (PEO-STRI) and industry positions at L3Harris, Northrop Grumman, and Lockheed Martin. 

With expertise in military training, modeling & simulation, robotic surgery, medical simulation, and artificial intelligence/machine learning, Dr. Smith brings over 30 years of experience to SoarTech.  He is the past recipient of Des Cummings Innovation Award from AdventHealth, the Schwartz Award for Innovation in Industry from the Orlando Economic Development Commission and the Commander’s Medal of Civilian Service from the US Army PEO-STRI.  Dr. Smith holds a Doctorate and Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland as well as a Doctorate from Century University and a Masters in Statistics and Data Science from Texas Tech University.
