Research Scientist

SoarTech is looking for Research Scientists/Principal Investigators(PI’s) for our Autonomous Platforms and Intelligent Systems business areas. Positions are available at our Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Orlando, Florida offices. SoarTech Scientists have primary responsibility for the creation of research and development proposals and authority over the execution of projects including research outcomes, engineering accomplishments, transition, and budget oversight. Scientists also publish study results as first author, or co-author, and they often serve as Principal Investigators for funded research projects, serve as research group leaders, and make research and funding decisions for projects they lead. Scientist positions require personal initiative to accomplish technological innovation and creativity in support of new business development and project execution. These positions serves as primary programmatic liaisons with the sponsor.

We are seeking candidates with PhDs in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Math, Modeling & Simulation, Cognitive Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Experienced candidates should have familiarity with the DoD research community and the ability to help position SoarTech for growth in that industry. Experience as a Scientist, and leadership as a Principal Investigator of a major program, and an established record of research accomplishment, including a history of obtaining significant external funding in the DoD research community is valuable. Experience in fields such as robotics, training, ISR, or other application areas relevant to SoarTech, including a background in artificial intelligence (AI), cognitive architectures, or related technologies, is also valuable.

Artificial Intelligence Engineer

SoarTech is seeking Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineers of all levels for our Autonomous Platforms and Intelligent Systems business areas. Positions are available at our Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Orlando, Florida offices. Engineers participate in all phases of development and have opportunities to learn and advance ideas, technologies, and software products. We are seeking skilled problem solvers with good design and programming skills in Java or C++ (Software Engineers) and specialists with experience in artificial intelligence (AI Engineers).

Software Engineer

We are looking for entry level  Software Engineers to become part of our Intelligent Systems business area at our Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Orlando, Florida, offices. Under general direction, Software Engineers are responsible for software development and support on assigned projects, including front-end, back-end, configuration, integration, and DevOps.  May have responsibility for individual technical project components. Duties can include, but are not limited to: following designs, coding, testing, debugging and documenting new components. Receives a high level of guidance and direction from senior engineers throughout the development process.

Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Scientist

SoarTech is looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Scientist for our Intelligent Systems business area in Orlando, Florida. Technical Writer

As military operations become more complex and training budgets shrink, it is increasingly challenging to prepare warfighters for complex, interactive, cognitively demanding work. SoarTech is addressing this challenge by developing descriptive and generative cognitive and behavior models; by developing and applying AI and machine learning to enable environments to tailor and to individualize experience; and by creating engaging, simulation- and game-based training systems for everything from tactical skills to social skills. Our AI technologies and systems are a force multiplier for instructors, students and users.

We are looking for a Technical Writer to help our Intelligent Systems business area in Orlando, FL, and would be responsible for providing writing feedback for technical documents; services include writing, editing, proofreading, research and formatting for technical documents; including proposals, white papers, reports, marketing literature and scholarly publications.

Director of Contracts and Procurement

Soar Technology is seeking a Director of Contracts and Procurement who will provide analysis, guidance, and direction on the Company’s federal contracts and proposals to ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other related regulatory requirements. This person will report directly to the Vice President of Finance and will work closely with the rest of the leadership team. This position is responsible for negotiating contracts, which includes analyzing contract documents, evaluating compliance with requirements and regulations, and maintaining communication to ensure timely awards. A solid history of federal contracts management experience and/or relevant experience working for a Defense Contractor is required. This position may work in either the Ann Arbor or Orlando offices.
