After graduating with his second degree, Chris Brown was searching for a company where he would be challenged to learn new things and develop his skills alongside gifted engineers. "SoarTech was a perfect fit, "he said. “SoarTech’s embrace of technological advancements in the AI realm was intriguing and presented a clear opportunity for me to grow as an engineer while working on meaningful projects.”

Chris joined SoarTech as a software engineer II in 2021 after earning his Bachelor of Science in computer science at Western Governors University. He also earned a Bachelor of Sciences in recording arts from Full Sail University in 2014.

In his short time as a SoarTech team member, Chris says he’s already learning. “I have had the opportunity to learn a new SDK (Flutter), while working on implementing features for Lingo.”

Chris believes that AI is crucial to the efficient and effective operation of the military. “In the coming years, artificial intelligence will continue to become even more essential in providing the military rapid response to complex and dynamic situations.

In his younger years, it was Chris’ childhood dream to play professional hockey for the Detroit Red Wings. His interest in engineering and pursuing a career in the field came later in life. Although he still enjoys sports, as well as traveling and playing the guitar.

“I love that at SoarTech I get to work with a team of incredibly talented and innovative people,” he said. “There is an atmosphere of continual learning that inspires me to develop my skills and find new ways that I can contribute to the success of the company.”
